Ok so something very few people know about me, is that I am addicted to books and stationery. So you can imagine my reaction when I walked into Typo today and discovered an entire range of gold accessories! I just remember thinking, 'this is what heaven must be like'. And that's when I noticed the gold Eiffel Tower scissors. Game over.

Check out this amazing package my gorgeous sister sent me from the USA! I know the book jumps right at you - but you can't go past the Jolly Ranchers, they are my favourite! I have to point out the gold Nicole by O.P.I nail polish, the name of which is 'The Next CEO' - BAM! I love it!

Exactly what I needed - another fashion book, more O.P.I and even more sugar!

In case you hadn't noticed, I like GOLD. I thought it only fitting that for my very first post, I would share an image from yesterdays Gold Threads photoshoot. (You might even recognise it from the web banner.) So these are my favourite things...

The books were gifts from my lovely sister, the Chanel bangle I purchased at Bloomingdales in NYC, the earrings were a surprise gift from Charlie. The black champage glass is from S&P. The teacup is vintage, overflowing with my favourite necklace from Lovisa. My watch is Michael Kors and the other jewels are a mix of store finds, vintage pieces and a few that I picked up at beach markets over the years... and the vase I picked up from a school fete for $3!
