Natasha Gan happens to be one of my all time favourite aussie designers. My love for this label is borderline obsessive, to the point where I have driven all over town looking for one of her designs because I just had to have it!
Whether it be her structured dresses or flowing tops, every piece seems to transition smoothly from day to night. And isn't that what we all really want when it comes to ready-to-wear fashion? Some of my most treasured dresses were designed by Natasha Gan. Not only are they unique and stylish, but I always feel beautiful wearing them. So you can imagine that I'm hungry for more to add to my stock, and of course her latest collection exceeds my expectations of this label...
We were priviliged to have the very lovely Natasha Gan, tell us a little about what her inspirations were behind this collection:
"For autumn/winter 2012 I wanted to stay true to the season (which traditionally invokes a richer colour palette)
but wanted to inject some personality. I loved tribal influences and animal prints, and mixed strong block colours with soft fabrics, such as silk. I try to cover a mix of evening and day but wanted pieces that can go the distance and cross over from day to night - with the exception of the draped party dresses, which are made to be taken out on the town."
Check out my personal style picks from her Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection below - just quietly, I am dying over the printed long sleeve maxi!
Happy shopping!
